What you need to know to Plant & Grow

Cosmos are incredibly easy to grow and thrive on neglect, making them ideal for beginners and experienced gardeners alike.

Sow Indoors:Ā Start seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last expected frost date, or direct sow after all danger of frost has passed.

Germination:Ā Seed typically germinates in 7 to 14 days.

Transplanting:Ā Transplant seedlings outside into a location withĀ Full SunĀ and average soil. Avoid overly rich soil, as this encourages lush foliage but fewer flowers.

Seed Spacing:Ā 30 cm

Thin to:Ā 45 cm

Row Width:Ā 60 cm

Deadhead spent blooms often, or harvest flowers regularly, to encourage continuous, prolific flowering right up until frost. Taller varieties may benefit from staking in windy locations.
