Beans Half Runner Mountaineer - Cornucopia Seeds

Half Runner Beans Mountaineer

High yielding bean with round 4-5 inch rich-tasting pods. Plants have a bushy habit, sending out 32-36" runners that may be trellised for easier harvest and to save space but also grows well without it. Stringless snap beans when young; shell or dry white beans at late maturity. Delicious fresh and ideal for canning and freezing. Disease-resistant. Ready to harvest in 55-60 days.

 Light   Full Sun
 Row Spacing 1.5-2 feet
 Plant Spacing
 3 inch
 Plant Depth  1 inch
 Days to Germinate  6-10 days
 Plant Height  2-3 feet

Gardener's Notes: Beans need warm weather to grow. Plant in late spring after night temperatures reach 55 F (13 C). Sow seeds 3 inches apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Sow every 2-3 weeks until early summer for continuous supply. Keep soil evenly moist. Harvest when pods are about 4 inches long for snap beans or leave to mature on plants for shelling beans. Pick every other day to keep producing more pods.
